April was a big month for Regweaver. We shipped a major new capability that gives your compliance team far greater control over the requirements you work with — alongside a number of improvements that make day-to-day compliance management smoother and more reliable.
Author Your Own Regulations and Requirements
Not all compliance obligations come from a standardised framework. Many organisations have internal policies, industry commitments, or customer requirements that are just as important as any regulation — but until now, there was no easy way to manage them alongside everything else.
With custom regulation authoring, you can now build your own regulations directly in Regweaver. Define the requirements that matter to your organisation, structure them the way you need, and manage them with the same tools you use for CSRD and CSDDD. Your proprietary compliance framework now lives in the same place as your regulatory one.
This is also the foundation for future flexibility. As new frameworks emerge, or as your own requirements evolve, you have the tools to keep Regweaver aligned with how your business actually operates.
Always Know What You Are Working With
To support this new flexibility, Regweaver now clearly distinguishes between three states for regulations and requirements. Standard regulations and requirements are predefined and provided by Regweaver, ready to use as-is. Modified means a standard regulation has been tailored — either by adjusting existing requirements or by appending new custom requirements to it. Custom means the regulation or requirement was built entirely from scratch by your organisation.
This distinction is visible to everyone involved. Whether you are the organisation distributing requirements to your supply chain or a supplier receiving and responding to them, you can always see exactly what you are working with — and whether it reflects a Regweaver standard, your organisation's own adjustments, or something built entirely in-house.
Tailor CSDDD to Fit the Way You Work
A practical example of this flexibility in action: CSDDD is available directly in Regweaver's Regulation Library, pre-built and ready to use as a Standard regulation. But no two organisations approach due diligence in exactly the same way.
With the new authoring capabilities, you can take the Regweaver CSDDD regulation as your starting point, modify individual requirements to reflect your specific policies and processes, and append additional requirements where your compliance programme goes further than the directive itself. The result is a Modified CSDDD regulation that is still clearly grounded in the original framework — but shaped to fit your organisation.
This means you can move fast by starting from what Regweaver has already built, while still ending up with a compliance programme that is truly yours.
Stability and Reliability Updates
This release also includes a range of fixes and improvements across the platform, including corrections to how requirements are mandated across your value chain and performance improvements for large value chain datasets.
